GEOGRAPHY/DESCRIPTION 

At the heart of a valley with a magical landscape of snow and ice dominated by Mont Blanc, lies the resort of Chamonix. Exceptional natural site classified World Heritage, the oldest alpine resorts has always seduced the most international clienteles. Its strength: to be able to combine in perfect harmony, the modern infrastructure of a large resort with a grandiose and wild nature.

Chamonix, at the foot of Mont Blanc, is one of the world capitals of mountaineering and skiing. Mountaineers come from all over the world to climb the natural route of Mont Blanc where sometimes 300 people cross the summit. The descent of the Vallée-Blanche is a reference in mountain skiing. We can meet nearly 3000 skiers per day. Its three levels determine three different altitudes: 1000 meters for the plateau of Chamonix, 1200 meters for that of Argentière and 1400 meters for that of the Tour.

SUGGESTIONS

Take the little Montenvers train and go see the sea of ​​ice. Do not miss the Aiguille du Midi cable car that takes you to its summit at 3800 m above sea level. In a few minutes you are projected in the particular world of the high mountains in the middle of glaciers and steep walls. You will climb up to admire a grandiose panorama in the heart of the Mont Blanc Massif where you will take the panoramic cable car of Mont Blanc which will offer you a crossing of the massif.
