GEOGRAPHY/DESCRIPTION

Typical and traditional, the village where goats are queens opens the doors of one of the most beautiful alpine massifs. Between Leman and Mont Blanc, you are in the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area: from the Lindarets, start magnificent courses: walks in mountain pastures, hiking, mountain biking, refuge ... all the pleasures of nature and the mountain are available to you.

Located at an altitude of 1500 meters, the Lindarets used to be an alpine village where farmers would graze their animals in the summer and come back to the village in late October. Today this hamlet is entirely devoted to tourism.

The old alpine chalets have been transformed into shops, restaurants and souvenir shops.

The pastoral and tourist activity transition took place around the 50s with a double activity. Traders quickly realized the interest of seeing these goats loose. The tourists were moving for the site, the table and in addition the show of the animals for the children.

In winter, the pastures of the Lindarets are transformed into ski slopes and are part of the area of Avoriaz.

Nobody lives in Lindarets, it is a daytime shopping activity.
